Tomorrow, a Berlin-based provider of sustainable digital banking, and lemon.markets, a Brokerage-as-a-Service platform, have moved their partnership into a new phase, widening access to Tomorrow's sustainable investment offering.
Thanks to lemon.markets' brokerage and custody infrastructure, Tomorrow can now open the Tomorrow Fund (ISIN: DE000A2QK5D4) to a broader customer base. Those who already hold shares in the Fund are able to buy additional units, while new customers can open a securities account and invest in it for the first time.
The two firms first joined forces in 2024, at which point Tomorrow customers were only able to hold existing shares in the Fund. The Fund tracks the goals of the Paris Agreement and sits at the heart of Tomorrow's aim of putting money to work for positive change.
With the newly expanded integration, the company can bring that mission to a wider audience as it enters its next stage of growth. The Fund itself carries an Article 9 classification under the EU's Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation, the top tier available to sustainable funds, and invests only in publicly listed companies that clear a strict vetting process, spanning sectors from bicycle parts manufacturing to wind turbine technology. It currently holds positions in more than 70 companies.
The closer technical integration also means account opening and investing are faster and smoother for both new and existing customers, without Tomorrow having to change providers or rebuild its infrastructure.
Through the existing API link, lemon.markets manages the whole investment process on Tomorrow's behalf, covering account opening, trade execution, custody, settlement and regulatory compliance via its BaFin-authorised investment firm status. The same setup has also opened the door for Tomorrow customers to invest in the Inyova Impact ETF (ISIN: LU3075459852), an actively managed UCITS ETF focused on impact investing, with additional products planned for the future.
Founded in 2018, Tomorrow has built a reputation as one of Europe's leading sustainable banking providers, serving more than 100,000 customers and backed by a crowd-investor base of around 10,000 people.
Tomorrow co-founder and co-CEO Inas Nureldin said, 'The Tomorrow Fund is now open to everyone who wants to invest in line with their values. With lemon.markets, we have the infrastructure partner that makes this possible, and that grows with us - step by step and with our offering.'
lemon.markets founder and CEO Max Linden said, 'At Tomorrow, money is meant to do good, for people and the planet, and the Tomorrow Fund lets customers put that into practice when they invest. Our infrastructure is there to support that ambition, helping Tomorrow scale their offering to a much wider audience and keep expanding from there, all on the same integration. That's what our platform is built for: a modular foundation that grows with partners like Tomorrow, so they never have to start over.'
